Get to know Stefanie
Stefanie brings over 15 years of dedicated experience in social services, beginning with her bachelor’s degree in 2006. Stefanie's career has spanned diverse roles in halfway homes, outpatient services, and supported living establishments. In 2016, Stefanie expanded her expertise by achieving her Doula Certification with DONA International and obtaining a Lactation Counseling Certificate, specializing in supporting young women and families in Winnebago County. ​

As a Perinatal Mental Health Counselor, Stefanie supports individuals and their partners through a range of mental health challenges before, during, and after pregnancy and adoption. These challenges can include anxiety, depression, obsessive-compulsive disorder, postpartum psychosis, birth trauma, and other parenting difficulties.
In previous years, Stefanie made a significant impact through her work with a local nonprofit organization, focusing on case management for youth navigating trauma and providing counseling to homeless and transitioning young people and their children.
Stefanie excels in working with a diverse range of individuals, including adolescents, LGBTQIA+ individuals, pregnant and parenting individuals, children, those navigating substance use challenges, and families. Her inclusive approach ensures comprehensive support for each unique client she serves.
Beyond her professional achievements, Stefanie finds joy in spending quality time with her family, including her husband, daughter, and beloved pets. Stefanie is an avid outdoors and travel enthusiast, especially when discovering new places to go with her friends, and finds enjoyment in new culinary experiences at restaurants. Stefanie also nurtures a passion for horticulture, tending to her extensive collection of plants. Her dedication and dynamic approach make her a valuable asset to our team!
